Now I am sure you have sen the Youtube videos of Gou Miyagi and the insane round rails he gets on...

Well the video that it's from is called Overground Broadcasting / Underground Broadcasting. The guy who did it is a homie, Takahire Morita.

We meet back in 2001, when I lived in Brooklyn.

He came over to film and skate. We hung out a lot and skated and all that.
Since then, he has spent the last 7years going back to NYC once a year to film ( a long with 12 other counrties).

He is truly a heart felt skater! Mr.Morita (as I call him), has been doing Far East for over a decade now and bringing the Japanese skateboard world to the rest of us!

He is a great part of skateboarding and his video is the most diverse video/ film of/ about skateboarding I have ever seen!

I got sneakers and bad news for the bday... Vol.2 (walk-in, roll-out)

So this section is about what happened in the actual surgery but I on't remember anything... Got there at 9 talked to some people, got sent to a room, spoke to Danijel about what they would do and him going on tour, then off to another room, talked to some people with masks on, a female mask said that I would feel 'something' in my arm, then my arm FUQN hurt and I woke up and it was 5.30!!!!! oh, and I had half a cyborg attached to my leg...

As I am getting wheeled out to the car, I am saying "Nah, I'm cool, I can walk, I'm not even dizzy"... Got up and almost ended up back on the surgery table.
Anyway, I get home and end up finally feeling normal, (kind of)...So, the next day, I had to go back to the same hospital and meet the Physical Theropy guy,

in what turned out to be a ear doctor's office?!?

What the hell are those for?!

There are some insane things in the Dr.'s office! Freal!

I was realizing that my crouches and I would become very good friends...
and that now, they seemed far away across the room!
There are a lot of papers in this counrty, papers for everything... This kat had 2 different papers, #1 said that I should NOT put weight on my knee after the surgery, #2 said, DO put weight on my knee after the surgery.... We had him make the call to the horse (the surgeon) and hear it from him mouth! Then, the guy does what everyone does in this place, grab my leg and twist it till I tell them to stop...
And see, I told you... Even more papers! But at least one gets me drugs.
I get some, exercizes and whatnot....

Then got some info and I was out!

Thanx, for fixing the meniscus and see you in the spring for the ACL...

I got sneakers and bad news for the bday... Vol.1

So I woke up and headed to the Hospital, with my Zombies* on for the Bday, to see what they were gonna say about the MRI... Dr. freaked me and my sneakers out by saying that I need to have 2 surgeries and told me that the first was am emergency so I had to go to another hospital, today!

My sneakers was like, 'Bump that, les go home and at least have breakfast with the fam'. So that is what we did...

When we got back home, it turned out that i had a new pair of Zombies* to keep me company on the day's mission...

They were like, "whats cooking? smells good!", so we went to eat...After eating, they told me, "Alright, you ready for this mission, it ain't no point puttin it off any longer...", so we got out and got into it...So we got to the Mondal hospital, and they were like, "shiiiiiiiit, how long is this gonna take?"...
I was sayin to them that they should take it easy and not be so anxious!To calm them down I showed them my driver's licence picture inwhich i was super hung over...We finally got into the room and they asked about the button on my jacket...
They were saying that they didn't think the knee looked so bad...This guy asurred them to the oppisite and that surgerys were a MUST! and SOON!

My sneakers started to look around the room and wonder about the instruments and what they were all for?! Even the circus of pain that they would soon witness...
They gave me a look that told me it was time for some tunes to calm the mood...
Then we got the news that surgery #1 would be on Thursday, and it was the small one ...
I singed a paper that I have no clue what it said... and got some information about how to take a shower with this special soap, my sneakers were like, "Seriously? Who the Hell needs a step by step manual on how to wash your own ass?", I told them to pipe-down...Then we went to lunch at the in-laws and they were left in the hall for all of the bad mouthing at the hospital...Then we went on to the pharmicy to get said special soap...Parked and walked to the shop...Opened up to start sellin stuff and writing on the Blog...

*Zombie (sneakers, that are considered 'Deadstock**' but only worn on special occasions, so considered halfdead or living dead)
**Deadstock (sneakers that are kept in the box in prime condition)

This guy lives in my hometown,he is 15 years old and has been skating for 2,5 years.
When i first met August I instantly knew that this guy is not a talker, he is a skater. He always has something in his mind about skateboarding. If he doesn't find a spot to skate, he will build is own. He is what I may call the most creative person i ever met, in an age of just 15 years old. Maybe it sounds like this kid just skate, and has nothing else on his mind. Hes got the whole world on his mind.
And the most important thing of all, he has the best attitude towards people and world around.
One of the finest people i ever met!

Now maybe, you would wont to see, like the new clothing line from the trade show, or like some kind of Biz type stuff but we missed it all.

The trip was The Jerk, Andre, and Henrik... PTNCshop vs. Shelta.

We drove up to Stckhlm, in what can only be catogorized as, 'a rented/ stoled car', (like if someone else gets it after this weekend the car co. will just have to steel it from it's self and burn it for the money)...

If you rent a car and the guy tells you that he will give you a deal after he says that there is a scratch on the side, the steering wheel is kinda janky, and oh... there is also a small crack in the windshield, something is up! We also found other small things that were up too.

So we get into the 'car' and rolled out... Dre decided to whip that shit like it was stolen! (for all non Jersey natives or those not from a place where car get stolen a lot, that means fast!) At the first gas-up, we got out and played a game of S.K.A.T.E., Bling beat me after I couldn't do anything!!! I am gonna have to kick myself off of my own team!
Yea, I might have landed a few things...
The station was were busses go to die!What would happen next, I did not have in my Binocularos... [alt. caption,] (Even the Wise Owl couldn't have know what was to come).

So we get into Alby, (from what I hear, the hood of Stckhlm) only to find that the hotel gave our room away and it is now 12:30 at night and we have start making calls to people to see where we can crash out at...Full-on, head scratcher...We were, needless to say, Pissed!!!!
But Freddy saved the day!!!! Thnks to Jakob also for being cool enough to let us crash!

So, a hotel, screws us over... then we do the same to another hotel by staying at Dre's homies' that happened to be next to the best Bagel spot in the city!Fredrik said it was the best breakfast he had had in a year!

So then There was some kinda industry thing that had a shitload of companies all pushing their latest wears and steeling stuff from each other's 'last year' collections... In no way do I say that to be a dick but it super obvious! You know that we all know you stole that... WACK! All in all thought, most of the people were cool and I have to say thanks to all hose who were there and the co.s that understand the concept of the shop.
No that that has been said, we did not forget that this was a chance to get together and have a good/ great time and unwind from this stressful game...

The night was only beginning for us all, Andy from Burton in the house, (side note: thanks for holding on to my camera from the week before, even if I deserved to lost it along with my wallet and any dignity I had on the way to the party, ouch!)

So I have never seen a Roulette wheel in a bar! You?! Anyway, it was a must! I mean, we didn't pay for hotel rooms, so...
